Improving Public Safety

As a public school educator and School Board member, I hear from students and parents every day: they want quality schools and safe streets where children can play without fear. In the Assembly, I will work closely with local first responders to improve emergency response times and create safer schools, parks, and neighborhoods. I will also advocate for increased funding for after-school programs and job training programs to provide pathways of opportunity for young people in our communities. Additionally, I will always push for stronger gun safety laws – especially those targeting ghost guns – to keep dangerous weapons out of our schools and off of our streets.
